The Carbon Accountability Programme is seeking to enter participative partnerships with businesses, NGOs or other organisations.

Improved accountability requires best practice guidelines, frameworks and other tools to be developed by stakeholders. We are committed to solutions and wish to develop these tools in a participative way.

 Scottish Carbon Counting 
 Group 

We have organised a seminar on 'Counting Carbon in Investment and Spending' with the Scottish Carbon Counting Group to help delegates measure the carbon impacts of investment and spending and integrate carbon into financial decision-making.

 Forest carbon projects 

We have taken an active role in the new Code of Good Practice for Forest Carbon Projects participating in pre-consultation discussions and the full consultation.

 Roundtable on banking 

The first CAP roundtable on carbon accountability in the banking sector was held in April 2009. Stakeholders, including financial institutions, academics and NGOs discussed approaches to carbon accountability in the financial sector.
