Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research
The Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research is a unique, international, membership-based organisation with around 600 active members, fellows and associates in over 30 countries. CSEAR’s international network supports students, practitioners, scholars and educationalists in all aspects of the education, research and practice of social, environmental and sustainability accounting, reporting, auditing, finance and taxation.
The Carbon Benchmarking Project works with companies and stakeholders to develop frameworks to measure and compare corporate performance on climate change. Many companies now report climate change data, but it is often difficult to use it to work out who the real leaders are. The Project aims to develop the benchmarking methods, international disclosure standards, and global networks necessary to make climate change performance visible.

The Greenhouse Gas Protocol Initiative
The Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) is the most widely used international accounting tool for government and business leaders to understand, quantify, and manage greenhouse gas emissions. The GHG Protocol, a decade-long partnership between the World Resources Institute and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, is working with businesses, governments, and environmental groups around the world to build a new generation of credible and effective programs for tackling climate change.
